Uniform
John Keatley
Photographer John Keatley approached us to help with his latest art project titled Uniform. The project features portraits of people painted green made to look like toy soldiers to represent the dichotomy between perception and reality in the face of a soldier and the familiar green army toy.
It was a blast to come up with the look and feel of the project and to help bring John’s vision to life. The trickiest part were the eyes whenever they were visible — we had to make sure they fit with the aesthetic of the project while not being distracting or taking away from the expression of the subjects.
The Book
The project was so well received that photographer John Keatley turned it into a limited edition book. Continuing our collaboration, based on notes from John we reworked some of the images to better fit the book format and to make sure the images were consistent with the original project.
